Before Chytra was a business, it was a season of complete surrender.

In 2023, my life changed overnight.

My heart stopped functioning the way it should. For hours, medical equipment struggled to register a heartbeat. That night also revealed a mass on my brain that God removed. While I am deeply thankful for the doctors, nurses, and medical professionals who cared for me, I also believe God carried me through every step of that journey.

That experience changed how I viewed everything.

It reminded me that our bodies are gifts entrusted to us by God. We cannot control every circumstance, but we can choose how we care for what He has placed in our hands.

As I healed, I began studying ingredients more carefully than ever before.

Not because I believed natural products could replace medical care—they cannot—but because I wanted to become a better steward of the body God had given me.

I started asking different questions.

What did God create for our care?
Which ingredients have stood the test of time?
Can skincare become an act of stewardship instead of simply another routine?
How can I create products with intention instead of excess?

Those questions became Chytra.

Why God's Ingredients First?

Every ingredient we choose begins with one simple principle:

If God created it, it deserves our respect.

That doesn't mean every natural ingredient belongs in every formula, nor does it mean modern science has no place. We appreciate scientific research and safe formulation practices. Instead, it means we begin by looking to the incredible diversity of oils, herbs, botanicals, and plant-based ingredients God has already provided.

Whenever possible, we select ingredients that are known for their quality, simplicity, and compatibility with healthy skin and hair.
